La Résidence du Lac

Vendee

Vilanova Park main pool area

A park overlooking a lake and close to all ameneties

La Résidence du Lac is an established park in a very peaceful setting yet only a few hundred metres from the small village of Maché. It also benefits from being above the large Lac d’Apremont which is only two minutes walk away. Around the lake are walks both along the lakeshore and through the surrounding woodland.

The plots are grassed with a generous area even for larger lodge style homes. The first phase of the park is full, but the owner has extended into an adjoining field. Services are installed and the plots are ready for immediate occupation. Plot sizes vary from around 200m2 upwards. The larger plots are tending to be the first to be reserved.
The park has a small reception and access is via an electric gate and barrier.

It is open all year and has a bar and heated pool, and although these are not open all year round, the nearby village has two bars and small general store. The town of Aizenay, about 4 miles distant has larger shops, banks, chemists as well as a range of bars and restaurants.

There are also plans to develop a further pool and gym with sauna and hot-tub on the park and wireless internet is already installed.

Two night visit for £59 per person (plus flights).

Le Paradis is close the autoroute, giving access from nearby Bordeaux or Bergerac airports. An added advantage is that the park is only around 6½ hour’s drive from the channel ports, making access by car another option.

The lake has a man-made beach area near the reception which is overlooked by the tables and chairs outside the bar and restaurant area, which doubles as a social centre for the park’s residents.
A small shop and library and separate play area away from the mobile homes completes the well kept facilities.

This park is surrounded by fields of crops and bordered on one side by the river Isle. The park has access to the riverbank - ideal for a stroll along the river or a cycle ride along a well-kept track into the nearby village of Abzac, just over a mile away. Mejannes-le-Clap, GARD-PROVENCAL, France

Vilanova Park main pool area

Les Dolmens - Languedoc/Provence border, France

SPECIAL OFFER for the first 10 owners on Le Dolmens:

  • FIRST YEAR RENT FREE!
  • 1 YEAR'S FREE INSURANCE

On first entering Les Dolmens through the pretty entrance with it’s restaurant and bar, your first thought could be ‘where are the plots?’. It’s at this point that one of the greatest advantages of this park becomes clear. There is a large green space dotted with mature trees in the centre of the park. Around it, each in their own woodland clearing, are the mobile home plots - each unique and affording shade and privacy for the occupants.

The park has recently been redeveloped to a high standard. If the outdoor pool and separate covered heated indoor pool and hot tub are impressive additions, then the park’s new infrastructure is even more amazing. New drains and water pipes have been laid, a new transformer ensures a reliable 16 amp electricity supply to each plot, TV cables laid underground and the roads re-laid. The central green area will be left as an open space for the park’s residents to enjoy.

There is a small reception area and joining it a larger bar and restaurant serving set-price menus of local dishes as well as an a la carte selection.

The small village of Mejannes Le Clap is about a mile and a half away and has a grocery shop and a few restaurants. There are many other ancient villages to be explored within a few miles. The larger town of Uzès to the south has a large selection of shops, plus supermarkets and of course the vibrant markets for which Provence is justly famous.

The Plots

The  plots are mainly best suited to 'single' homes, but there are some larger for 'twin unit' sized lodges. They are already prepared with all connections for electricity, water and drainage.
